# FAQ

**Q1: Is Protectify free to use?**

A: Yes—the app is 100% free to install and use. You can set up and offer shipping protection to your customers without paying anything upfront.

***

**Q2: How does Protectify make money?**

A: We charge a small platform fee based on your store’s total GMV (Gross Merchandise Volume), not based on your protection revenue.

You keep 100% of what customers pay for shipping protection.

***

**Q3: Do you take a share of the protection fees I charge customers?**

A: No. You’re in full control of how much to charge and how it’s displayed. You collect the protection fee from customers directly—we don’t touch it.

***

**Q4: Are you an insurance company?**

A: No, Protectify is not an insurance provider. That means:

* No claims processing delays
* No regulatory headaches
* No third-party friction\
  \
  You create your own rules for protection, and we help you deliver a smooth experience.

***

**Q5: What happens when a customer’s order is lost or damaged?**

A: You handle it directly based on your store’s policy. Most merchants offer fast refunds or reships to ensure a great customer experience. Because you keep the protection fee, you have full flexibility.

***

**Q6: Can I customize how protection is offered?**

A: Absolutely. You can choose fixed pricing or percentage-based logic, decide where the offer appears, and customize the widget’s wording and look.

***

**Q7: Is this app suitable for small stores?**

A: Yes! Protectify works for merchants of all sizes. Since you’re in charge of how protection works and what it costs, you can easily tailor it to your business—whether you ship 100 orders a month or 10,000.

***

**Q8: What’s the actual platform fee?**

A: Our standard pricing is a 1.2% platform fee based on protected orders.

For high-volume stores, custom pricing may be available. \[Contact us here → <support@protectifyapp.com>]
